Introduction to Chromatography
This course on the principles of gas chromatography includes the absorption of solids and liquids; the components of a sampling system; a column’s detectors and their construction; carrier gases; gas and liquid samples; thermoconductivity; retention time of sample components; timer and attenuator uses; bar graph and spectrum charts; memory devices; and step-by-step construction of a simple chromatographic analyzer.
Prerequisites: A knowledge of basic physics and good mechanical and basic electronics comprehension
