Disc Steam Traps

Operating cycle; field and shop repair of disc (thermodynamic) steam traps: distinguishing a disc trap from five other types of traps; identification of parts of the trap; explanation of sequence of steps in the operating cycle. The steps for repair of the trap in the field and in the shop are also discussed.

Prerequisites: Courses 88, 91 and 102 or equivalent knowledge of testing, installation and troubleshooting procedures for steam traps.
