Calibration Adjustments – Zero, Span and Linearity
This course builds a practical knowledge of output error caused by zero shift, span difference and nonlinearity; teaches desired curve of output; and illustrates hysteresis error curve. The trainee will learn how to calibrate one, two and three points; how to plot output error curves; and how to adjust zero, span and linearity.
Prerequisites: Basic physics; an understanding of basic mechanics; a basic knowledge of scales, percentage, and decimals; and the ability to add and subtract positive and negative numbers.
